julesmck Posted April 24, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2004 We've never been on a cruise so we don't know much about cruise lines/destinations, but does anyone know if there are R/T cruises that depart from Montreal? Family-friendly would also be great. Thanks.
Host Caroline Posted April 25, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 25, 2004 The Great Lakes Cruising Co. or American Canadian Caribbean Line may cruise from Montreal. None of the major cruise lines cruise roundtrip from Montreal but you could always sail to NY and take the train back???? camelia Posted June 7, 2004 #3 Share Posted June 7, 2004 Hi Julesmk! I'm also from Montreal. Although there are no return cruises to Montreal, many cruiselines offer cruises that depart from Montreal and end someplace else. Cruiselines that do include Radisson, Holland America, Princess, Crystal and Silversea. Check the *****.com website for a list of cruises departing from any city, under the "find a bargain" section. There are a few things you should nonetheless consider before deciding whether you want to cruise from Montreal and one of the most important of those things is the price you want to pay for your cruise. By comparison, cruises that leave from Florida ports such as Miami and Fort Lauderdale are much cheaper than cruises of the same category that leave from Montreal. So much so that it would probably be no more expensive to fly to Florida and cruise from there. The ports of call might also be more attractive if you want to get the "I'm not at home" feeling! Good luck finding a cruise to your liking! Véronique
