Sue L Posted January 4, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2007 I will be on the Serenade in August and we may have the use of a friends car that week to drive from Seattle to Vancouver to get the ship. Is there parking there? How much is it for the week? per day? I am trying to figure out all the logistics. Thanks in advance.
kingsgirl Posted January 4, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 4, 2007 I researched this myself a few months ago. There is a Cruisepark where you can park your car for the entire time you are gone. They shuttle you to Ballantyne and will bring your back after the cruise. You can only arrive after 11am on your departure day though and you have to already have your cruiseline luggage tags on your luggage. Here is the website. http://www.cruisepark.com/Tour.cfm?PHPSESSID=7a9131424b0b56245dc2acce46922dfb Directions to the pier and/or Cruisepark parking http://www.cruisepark.com/FAQs.cfm#Driving3 Figure out the price of parking http://www.cruisepark.com/

LeftcoastBC Posted January 5, 2007 #4 Share Posted January 5, 2007 Re: Cruise Park Don't count on it being open. So much is changing on the waterfront due to Olympics and other stuff that even last season Cruise Park was not open until after the season was well underway. We had to park under Canada Place itself for a May trip. That option will be available for sure and the rate there was exactly the same as cruise park and certainly a lot quiker if using Canada Place. There is nothing really all that close to Ballantyne at all that i know of. Just be aware is all I'm saying....
kingsgirl Posted January 5, 2007 #5 Share Posted January 5, 2007 Sue, your very welcome. They have dates up for when to park so it looks like it will be open. My cruise date for May 26 and at least the week before is up (I think 2 weeks before me actually) so they must be open.
LeftcoastBC Posted January 5, 2007 #6 Share Posted January 5, 2007 I checked cruiseparks web site and indeed this year at this time they have the dates for 2007... So unlike last year them seem to be on track for being open. The long term at Canada Place is still an option if they hold their price from last year though. Park get on. Dock get away. Leaving from Ballantyne of course means some sort of transfer so CruisePark would indeed be the best option for there.
kingsgirl Posted January 5, 2007 #7 Share Posted January 5, 2007 And of course, there is a toll free number on the website to call if you want to just double check and make sure.
