Which operators provide surface intervals on the beach in Cozumel & Belize?

I am looking for a dive operator where the divers come back to the beach for their break between dives. I am looking for both Cozumel and Belize. I think I found one operator at: http://www.bluextseadiving.com.

Are there any other operators which have a nice beach that they come back to. It would be nice if there was snorkeling at the beach.

Christi is great. They do 1 1/2 hour SI at one of the beach clubs. Other dive operator that do the beach club SI are http://www.liquidbluedivers.com (almost always at Playa Palancar) http://www.scubatony.com (I've seen him at Playa Palancar too) http://www.bottomtimedivers.net/ and I think http://www.scubawithalison.com as well. I'm sure there are other small boat operators that do the beach club SI as well, just as I am sure than the ship's excursion and the other large boat op's do not.

Sorry, but I can't help you for belize.

Do you know how long the typical SI is at the beach? How long will they be hanging out there at the beach?

Also, it doesn't sound like any of the dive operators have their own resort like setting. It sounds like they all just drive up to the public beach and everyone gets out. Are there any that depart from the same location that they return to for the SI?

Thanks

We dove both of those spots and neither time did we have a beach SI. All time was spent on the boat.

I Belize, I would have to think that most dives are too far away form a beach for an SI... maybe I am wrong, but it sure seemed like a long boat ride to the dive stops.

Bruce - dove La Jolla Canyon on the weekend and there was a massive landslide unerwater. The beach dive out of La Jolla is no longer recognizable and no sealife left.... nothing but a sandy shlef now down to 150ft.

Blue XT Sea and Liquid Blue both do 1 1/2 hour SI. I'm pretty sure that most of the other operators do at least 1 hour SI's. Personally, 1 hour would be my minimum SI

That is exactly what they do.

BTW, Shamu now has her cover back

Only a couple of dive operators do this and they are the on-site dive op for the southern resorts. I wouldn't dive with them either.

That is what I thought too.

Bummer. I really like diving in SoCal.
