Pepper42960 Posted May 17, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 17, 2004 I have five teenagers, and we're on the VOS /RCI the last week in June. I need advice on excursions that would interest them ~ they'd probably enjoy the brewery but they're too young and I'm afraid that the historical tours might be boring for them ..... I was thinking of the tall ships sailing or the Hopper ~ but, I'm open to any ideas you may have.... One of my sons is very interested in the "soldier for a day" any information on that would also be appreciated!!!!! Thanks So Much
Mask Posted May 17, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 17, 2004 Hi, I live in Halifax and there's lots to do, depending on interests. They can attend the brewery tour, they will just be served lemonade instead of beer. The Harbour Hopper is a great way for them to see the city. If they're interested, there's the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic (on the waterfront) which has quite a few artifacts from the Titanic. Not to be missed in the way of food is Cows ice cream and Beaver Tails (a yummy pastry), both on the waterfront -- kids (and adults) love them. There's also many boat tours of the harbour including a hover (sp?) craft. Citadel Hill would be great for any history buffs. And there's lots of great shopping and wonderful food. Check out www.murphysonthewater.com for some tours. Hope this helps.
