snorkel lover Posted January 10, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2007 We will be snorkeling alot I hope during our eastern caribbean cruise this April. I think if will help out my kids (11 and 7) if they have a vest on. I am looking for the type that they hand out at Castaway Cay on DCL. Does anyone know what this type of vest is called and where I can purchase it. It is extremely thin, but can be inflated, and would not take up too much room in the suitcase. Thanks so much. snorkel lover Posted January 10, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted January 10, 2007 :) :) Thanks so much. That is exactly what I was looking for. We plan to do our own snorkelling excursions, so they will come in handy. I think they will be good to use in hotel pools and waterparks, too!! RachelD Posted January 11, 2007 #5 Share Posted January 11, 2007 We purchased ours new on EBay a few years ago. After we had an incident last year where DH's vest had a small tear in it, we won't go snorkeling without ours now. We don't take chances with tour groups' equipment anymore. beemerrider Posted January 15, 2007 #7 Share Posted January 15, 2007 you can actually buy the vests on board. Princess has the adult or child sizes. They retail for $29.00. you can also rent them either for the day or for the week.:)
kirbmeister Posted January 15, 2007 #8 Share Posted January 15, 2007 I was glad we had our own on a couple of excursions. The vests provided by the excursion were the standard orange life jackets, which were difficult to swim in.
