TrojanJulez Posted January 11, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2007 Has anyone tried the snorkeling excursion in Ketchikan, Alaska? I'm interested to know how cold it is and how the sea life compares with California sea life... :)
bruce-r Posted January 12, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 12, 2007 Yes, it is cold. I would expect water temperatures in the low 50's to upper 40's. I believe that the ship's excursion will include the use of a wetsuit. The marine life would be somewhat similar to what you'd find in Northern California. If you use "alaska" as a keyword of a search here, I'm sure you'll find other posts about snorkeling/scuba diving in Alaska.
