Bump. Any recent Conquest cruisers confirm Go/No Go on the Mongolian Grill? (Note, NOT PCs Wok, that's different)

 

I've been trying to confirm myself. I spoke to someone who was on last week and specifically asked, she didn't know what I was talking about so maybe not.

We just booked Upper deck 6404 (one of the last cabins available on the sailing for 8/2) and was wondering if anyone had any info on this cabin regarding possible noise as its above the Promenade deck and the cabin appears to be over Vincents Bar...

 

We havent been on the Conquest before and am really hoping that noise wont be an issue as my daughter is a light sleeper anyway....

I've read some earlier posts about a Sunset Beach Excursion in Jamaica but can't find one listed on the carnival site....is this a private excursion and if so does anyone have the website address?

i'm booked on a balcony deck 6 above the casino in the middle of the ship.

If i can move up to deck 7 first balcony cabin in the front left or third balcony cabin in the rear should I?

I was a bit concerned of the possible noise coming from the casino but don't know if moving away from the middle of the ship.

Are you near the stairs or elevators? If so, it might be a bit noisy and smokey. If you're not a smoker, stay away from the stair ways and elevator areas. Smoke from the casino drifts up in these areas. If you are a smoker, then it won't bother you. If you're directly above the casino, the band is what you would probably hear. To best avoid noise, look for a room that is both directly above another room or below another room. What's the sailing date of your cruise?

i'm currently booked in 6312...about six cabins from the elevators...sail october 11..all the empress deck cabins are above and below other cabins

I think you should be fine. All that's below you are the slot machines. The band and bar is on the other side. Compared to the rest of the room still available, I think you got the best one. We're going on this itenerary in Decemeber so I'd love it if you could tell me how you liked the ports. Have fun :-)

Ya it's not under the pool area but under the main dining or buffet area - hard to tell exactly. I would stick with the room above the casino. We had room 8929 last time and it was good. We only heard the music from above when we were out on our balcony. Have fun :-)

8929??? what? that's like a football field behind the ship? 8329 maybe? we had 8365 and were just below the doors to the cezanne.

Anyone have this balcony cabin or something close to it? Do you hear a lot of noise from the theater? Have never been this far foward, any problem with movement or wind? At least it should be far enough away from the elevators and stairs and forward of the casino that we shouldn't be bothered with smoke or noise from the casino.

Grumpyfan, just got off the Conquest yesterday (7-19) and our formal nights were Monday and Friday (I think). However, we did Key West and The Bahamas so ports were on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. If you are going to Western port formal nights may be different. On Friday there was a medical evacuation by helicopter from The Conquest. Does anyone know the staus of the person who was air lifted?

not sure, I had heard about the evac, but not the status.

 

 

Formal nights for Western are Monday and I thought Thursday because we left Grand Cayman earlier than Coz, so we had plenty of time to get ready? I could be wrong.

We had 6225 and did not notice any difference from our midship Verandah cabin we had the cruise before, as far as movement/noise/wind. Did not hear any noise from theater either. I don't think there is a "bad" balcony on the Conquest! going on our 4th and trying the aft this time. :)
