Going on Conquest 9-23 and have a couple of questions. What is their non-alcohol beer? Can you bring your own water and pop? Do you get a players club card in the casino and are you able to use your credit card to get more cash in the casino?

Hi there! We are on the 9/23 sailing of Conquest also, join our roll call! We were on last year and I believe they had O'douls, you can bring your own water and soda. 12 packs were allowed, not sure how much more, perhaps it is a per person sort of thing. They do have players cards and I know you can use your sail and sign (which may be linked to your credit card) to get more cash in casino, but there is a percentage charge for it. I think it was 10%. Welcome aboard!

Hey everyone...

Haven't been on here in a long time... am booked on the Conquest September 2nd.

Anyone ever had a Suite Guarantee? We were in a 9A, but today I decided that I wanted something extra-cool for our honeymoon.

And if someone has RECENT copies of the Capers.... I'd love to peek at them! dyannnat@yahoo.com Thanks :)

Has anybody had an ocean view room that sleeps 3 people? We booked inside guarantee and was moved to an ocean view with a couch. We were told that the couch is the 3rd bed. Is it an actual size couch or just a chair that folds out to a bed? We were on the Conquest last year with 4 people in a cabin and had the 2 beds that came out of the ceiling. Can't imagine where they would fit a couch at. Would love to see pictures of a room like that. Our room is on the Riviera Deck #1403.

We had an OV on the Main deck and the twin beds were already pulled together and my bed (the sofa bed) was just a bed...no sofa look to change to a bed at all.

It was VERY comfortable, just like the twin beds

Isn't the 9A the corner Aft? If it is I'd stick with that instead of a suite. The balcony is way better! You and about 20 people could fit out there!

Yeah... I booked 7445 after reading a lot of reviews, but then started reading that the cat 11 and 12 have vanities/dressing areas and a sofa. The corner aft doesnt have either... *shrug*

I know the balcony on the 9A was awesome, but too late now. ;) Already paid the difference.... and I'm sure we'll be thrilled with whatever we get.

As much money as we're spending having our wedding onboard, you'd think they'd give us the hookup and a cat 12. =) Wishful thinking, i know ;)

Is there snorkel equipment for rent on Conquest for port days? If so, how much does it cost. Just wondering if it would be more affordable than buying and packing it.

Thanks

Vickie:)

No they don't have snorkel equip to rent. However you can buy a snorkel on the ship for $8 but they don't have goggles. We bought snorkel gear beforehand and took it with us. I bought ours at Sun and Ski Sports but I know Costco had a nice snorkel set for a pretty good price also.

At Doctor's Cave in MoBay and Paradise Beach in Cozumel they did have snorkel equip for rent. We also did the stringray sandbar and snorkling excursion and they provide the equip for you.

I have a question and if it has already been answered somewhere.....I apologize.

If we book a balcony guarantee on Conquest, are any of the balcony rooms obstructed views or is it a pretty good deal? I mean, a balcony is a balcony.

I was on the Conquest last year and leave again in 18 days and I don't remember any obstructed balconies.

Happy Cruzin!

I never thought about bringing your own snorkel equipment. I would rather bring my own than rent something that I am putting in my mouth. I have never done snorkeling on a cruise before so I have a question, how deep are the snorkeling waters? I guess I am wondering if the flippers are really a must or can I do just the mask and snorkel?

Is the Rocky Horror Picture Show still being done? A couple years ago I was on the conquest and I missed the show and was just wondering if they were still preforming it or if it is now gone.

When I sailed last October, there was a Rocky Horror show on Thursday or Friday night of the cruise, about two (2) weeks before Halloween.

As for depth of water it depends on where you are going snorkeling. In Grand Cayman we did the stringray sandbar/snorkeling excursion and the water (for the snorkeling part) was about 10 feet deep. I did a bit of snorkeling at Paradise Beach in Cozumel without flippers and I'd say the water was about 8 feet not more than 10 feet though. I'm not a good judge of that sort of stuff but I had no problems without the flippers.

On the snorkeling excursions, whether ship sponsored or not, equip will be (or should be) provided. That includes snorkel, goggles, flippers, and life jacket. Some operations won't require the life jacket and others do, depends on who you're with. Back to snorkeling - I only had the snorkel and used the provided goggles and flippers. My husband though had goggles and snorkel since he's picky and wanted better goggles that what they'd provide. If you want good equip definitely buy here and carry with you. Otherwise the snorkel that you can buy from Carnival isn't bad and for $8 you'll get your moneys worth.

It's gone or at least it was on our cruise a month ago.

We take our own snorkels and masks. We have tried to use the ones provided on the tours, but always have a problem with leaks. It is worth it to us to pack our own. We do use their flippers. We used to pack those also, but they just take up so much room. The flippers provided on the tours are adequate for snorkeling.

The dining room isn't open for lunch on port days, but there are lots of other options. Sur Mer for fish and chips, oysters, etc... burgers from the grill, pizza, sandwiches from the deli, the Chinese place, and of course the buffet.

Taking 2 teenage boys on the July 1 Conquest. Which excursions do you recommend? Just read about the people being robbed at gunpoint in Jamaica, what to do there?

Already done Stingray city, so what's good in Grand Cayman?

Any secret cruiser tips I should know about?

How were massages, etc, on board?
