Has anyone been on the Conquest and Rhaposdy??

We are late booking and RCCL has gone way up on the Rhapsody.

We did Carnival three times and RCCL the last two.

Can you compare the two ships?

Also, where is a good Hotel in Galveston?

Thanks,

We have done Rhapsody twice and Conquest once. We are booked on the conquest again for April. We loved the Rhapsody and it was our favorite cruise overall. However, we were very pleasantly suprised on how nice the Conquest was. The ship was larger but easy to get around in. We had a balcony close to the aft on the 8th floor so we could walk up one flight of stairs and be at the aft pool or at the buffet or the pizza!

The food was as good as RCCL and while there seem to be a few more partiers than on the Rhapsody they didn't really bother us. All of the activities were about equal on the ship except the Shows were probably better on Rhapsody. Blood power band was awesome and we went there most nights when the shows were not to our liking.

Our first cruise years ago was on the Carnival Holiday and we did not get a good impression of Carnival but the Conquest has changed our mind. You can view your bill and make shore excursion reservations in your room.

I wouldn't hesitate to book this ship because pricewise it is the best bargain for your money! Our friends booked two weeks before the Cruise and went for around $900 total. But I guess those deals depend on occupancy.

Anyway good luck with whatever you decide!

Diane
