Crown & Anchor

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

We cruised RCCL before and are members of the Crown & Anchor.

We received discount tickets for several cruises. We are now booked on one of those cruises. All conditions that were mentioned on those coupons are OK, but still my TA ( in Belgium ) says that the coupon is not accepted by RCCL.

Do you have experience with this ? Will I be able to do something about this on board ?

What are the other advantages of being member ( wine tasting ? what kind of gift do you get ?...) This will be our first cruise as a member.

Thanks,

Kajo

Was there a specific date by which your cruise had to be booked noted on the coupon? I was caught by that last time, we booked a cruise a few days after the "book by" date on the coupon & could not use it.

I don't know if you can do anything while onboard, but you could certainly check with the loyalty ambassador about it while onboard. In the meantime, you could contact RCCL directly, but it is unlikely you will get anywhere if you booked thru a TA.

As for Gold benefits, you will receive a coupon book onboard which includes ( & this is not everything, just what I remember) buy one, get one free drink, free wine tasting, discount on RCCL logo merchandise, spa discount, match play for casino, free bingo card with package, discount on 2nd bottle of wine, etc. When we sailed Grandeur in June, our gift was a hanging toiletry bag. You are also invited to a repeaters party where champagne was served along with appetizers/desserts. It was very nice.

Good luck! I hope you are able to get your discount.

We received our Crown & Anchor book with coupon AFTER booking our cruise through a travel agent. Called her and she told us to FAX or Mail coupon with our booking/reservation number to RCCL. We did this and we were credited $125.00 back. Also my mom did the same (for $150.00) and received the credit. They should honor the coupon even if it is booked prior to your receiving it.

You say your received and booked discount tickets???? The back of the C&A coupons state 'this offer cannot be used with certain restricted fares'. Could your 'discounted ticket' be one of these 'restricted fares'?

We are on Explorer on 8/1 and also had to inquire about our membership (4 prior RCCL cruises). We learned that since our last RCCL cruise was in '97, they were showing our C&A membership in a type of suspension. Our member numbers we previously had weren't being recognized. We called RCCL and the representative was very helpful. He was able to check on our past cruises and provided us with the new numbers. When we disembark the Explorer on 8/8, we will be 'Platinum Members'.

Happy Cruising!!!

RCCL has different coupons and promotions for different regions. I live in Sweden and our coupons are in our currency. You state that your TA is in Belgium. Call RCCL directly and check out what is applicable for you.

Good luck.
