twinkletoes4445 Posted January 27, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 27, 2007 I've not done the excursion you're asking about, but think of Grand Cayman as the Beverly Hills of the Caribbean. No one will ask you to buy a thing. If you choose to make a purchase, then you can do so. Have fun! Grand Cayman is by far our favorite island to visit. twinkletoes4445 Posted January 27, 2007 #4 Share Posted January 27, 2007 I'm like you...I like to know as much as I can (in advance) about our destination. We have a friend who has a condo there, so we had a fair idea of what to expect when we first visited. Grand Cayman is expensive. If you eat at a restaurant, make sure and take a close look at your bill...most places will automatically add on a tip. You don't want to double-tip...and we did do that once. You can also ask them what the bill will be in USD and they will put that info on your ticket. It was easier for me to process if I knew how much I was spending in USD. signdaddy Posted January 27, 2007 #5 Share Posted January 27, 2007 We book the 7 mile beach through carnival and they tookus to the sea grape beach. This is a small section of the 7 mile beach. Chairs and beach were few feet from the road and beach was small. Maybe it was just our section of beach but we did not prefer this excursion. Next time we are going to do a snorkel excursion prob... We had "Cheeseburgers in Paradise with french fried potatoes" and water for 2 for $30 at Margarittaville. We have pictures of this on www.myspace.com/clintonhebert . Relax, Have Fun, Enjoy Your Experiences...
