Renting Dune Buggies in Cozumel

I know that there are tours available that use dune buggies, but I'd like to rent a dune buggy for my group without being tied to a tour. We've rented the scooters twice before and had a BLAST driving around the island! This time I'm taking my folks and in-laws, so scooters are out of the question. Anyone have any scoop on the buggies?

We did the dune buggy tour through "shoretours.com" and it was just. We had fun, but felt had we rented on our own we could have saved some $$ and still had the same experiences. I don't remember seeing dune buggy rentals in particular, but with all the other rentals out there I'm sure someone offers it. Have you thought of an open air jeep? I know those are rented and we saw many people cruisin' around in those. That may be an option for you. Hope you find what you are looking for!
