suite question

We booked the SY for our December 1 Noordam cruise, which will be our first on HAL. Right now, the difference between the SY and the SC is $1400.

I am always looking for the price difference to lower, because I'd love to upgrade to a full suite, who wouldn't? I do have a feeling, however, that since the Noordam is so popular, any upgrades are going to be few and far between, but I'll continue to have my TA check as the months go on.

In my book, $1400 will buy a lotta lattes, laundry and libation. ;)

Don't give up hope. We were offered (and accepted) an SS to SB upgrade for $229 p/p three weeks before our last December cruise.

Our first trip on HAL was on the Masdam, their (Verandah Suites). Room was alright we had robes to use and fresh flowers & fruit. Then the next trip we went on the "O" for a 2 week Panama Canal trip, which was wonderful. For that trip we decided to go with the Deluxe Vernandah suite near the Neptune Lounge. It was the best and so comfortable room we ever had. We had a bottle of Champagne waiting for us because we booked a suite and another bottle for being a Mariner. My husband would get up every morning go to the Neputne loung and get a cup of coffee before breakfast. The laundry was great knowing about that I didn't have to pack as much. Our room steward brought us Hours d'oeuvres every evening. The concierge, booked everything for us and helped us plan a party in our room. Also, when you book one of these suites, the suite passangers board first and if the room isn't ready they bring you to the Neptune Lounge, that's when I booked our tours and spa.Plus we were always getting invatations to many parties. Now we are going on the Maasdam in October 10 days (Deluxe Verandah Suite) like a previous person stated it will be hard to go back to a reg outside cabin.

Madelin...Hang in there. Friend and I booked an Sy guarantee, were "upgraded" to an SS...and yesterday HAL called TA and offered us an SA for $398 total. We leave on Sunday. So, especially at the last minute, things can and do happen:D
