Marriot Courtyard Marimar

We stayed there in Jan. pre - cruise over 3 Kings Day. Pluses: Nice hotel, very comfortable bed, nice staff, free internet in the lobby, and the small restaruant was reasonably priced for breakfast. Negatives: location is in a business district not much within walking distance. There is a shopping mall somewhere nearby but no one from the hotel seemed to know exactly where or how to get there. Took us 1/2 hour or more to get to OSJ by taxi, but that may have been because of 3 Kings traffic. Only took 5 minutes to get to the Pam Am pier by taxi, no shuttle service.

Be forwarned, there is a new $5 per person per night tax in that district , friends staying in Isla Verde didn't have this tax. We paid over $40 in taxes for a one night stay
