7 ships in port when I'm there

Whats the best strategy under these circumstances? Ship excursion or try to get a cab/car rental and do it on our own? St Thomas is the one island i really wanted to see for future reference..

If you wanted to explore the island then you should take a tour or rent a car and explore on your own. There will be traffic in/out of town and close to docks so you'll want to keep that in mind if renting a car and when planning your schedule. Also you'd want to make reservations for the car.

what ships were in port and what time of year was this. would appreciate knowing for our cruise next feb. thanks!

We also had 7 in port when we were there last February. St. Thomas seemed to be very crowded, so we took the ferry over to St. John, it was no where near as crowded as St. Thomas was.
