bcruiser Posted February 3, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2007 Please let me know if the Dawn has a covered roof for the pool area during cold weather? Thanks
Don Haynes Posted February 3, 2007 #2 Share Posted February 3, 2007 NCL doesn't have a ship with a covered lido deck pool area. However, there is a small pool in the spa area, requiring a spa fee. I belleve its $15 a day.
scrinchy Posted February 3, 2007 #3 Share Posted February 3, 2007 We used the pool in the spa area and there was no charge.
cruisingfromMN Posted February 4, 2007 #4 Share Posted February 4, 2007 We used the pool in the spa area and there was no charge. How long ago? Many are currently reporting that there is a fee for use of the spa pool.
Jean-Michel Posted February 4, 2007 #5 Share Posted February 4, 2007 How long ago? Many are currently reporting that there is a fee for use of the spa pool. Since a few months there is now a 15$/day to use the spa facilities
Don Haynes Posted February 4, 2007 #6 Share Posted February 4, 2007 Passengers who paid for the spa services complained that freeloaders were monopolizing the spa pool and making to much noise. Easy come, easy go.
bcruiser Posted February 5, 2007 Author #7 Share Posted February 5, 2007 why would a ship that spends so much time departing NYC not have some shelter from the elements on the pool deck ?
shoreguy Posted February 5, 2007 #8 Share Posted February 5, 2007 why would a ship that spends so much time departing NYC not have some shelter from the elements on the pool deck ? Because the F2 ships were designed and several built before NCL took the risk of sailing out of NYC year round. Original plans had the Dawn in Miami in the winter NYC in the summer. No compelling need for a covered pool.
