Ok....less than 4 weeks to go on our Mercury Alaska cruise....which nights are which dress? I'm guessing, like my past X cruises, there may be just 1 (instead of 2) informal nights. Here's our ports/schedule and my guesses...anyone clue me in for sure on this?? ThanXXX! -- Jeff

DAY DESTINATION ARR. DEP.

CASUAL -- Fri seattle, washington 4:00 pm

FORMAL -- Sat at sea

CASUAL?? -- Sun juneau, alaska 1:00 pm 11:00 pm

INFORMAL?? -- Mon skagway, alaska 7:00 am 3:00 pm

FORMAL?? -- Tue hubbard glacier (cruising) 6:30 am 11:00 am

CASUAL?? -- Wed ketchikan, alaska 9:00 am 3:00 pm

Wed prince rupert, b.c. (canada) 9:00 pm 10:00 pm

CASUAL -- Thu inside passage (cruising)

GO HOME :( -- Fri seattle, washington 7:00 am

Or are Tue and Wed reversed? Since we don't really stop (and get off) in Prince Rupert, that could conceivably be a formal night and Hubbard be casual (or informal, if they insist on 2, which I doubt...)

Help! Anyone know for sure??

Actually, onboard our Mercury (7/9) the second formal night was Wednesday. It was neat to see everyone out on deck all dressed up as we ventured into Prince Rupert. There were people on shore gathered looking back at us, and I remember thinking if they wondered people dress up like that everynight. It made for pretty picures out on the deck too plus it was sunset.

We also had elegant tea (requires dressing up) on Wednesday afternoon at 4:00, and a repeat for some Captain's Club members and Concierge/Suite passengers.

On Thurday night was the farewell show, and it was very casual.

We just got back from Mercury to Alaska and the dining nights were:

Friday - Casual

Saturday - Formal

Sunday - Casual

Monday - Informal

Tuesday - Informal

Wednesday - Formal

Thursday - Casual

Thank you both very much! This is exactly what I was looking for. I knew someone on here had to know! Strange with the 2 informal nights back to back. Was one "less informal" than the other by any chance??

Sorry for the delay. No, both informals were the same. You are at sea most of the afternoon both nights, so there is lots of time to prepare for dinner. The most casual night is Sunday since the ship is docked in Juneau and some people eat there or get tied up with shore excursions, etc.
