Anyone who has sailed Noordam in the past few weeks??

Can anyone tell me what the 'temps' where like on the second day at sea going out from NY and the first day at sea coming back, I just don't know how much warm clothing I'm going to need to pack...........I'm used to sitting by the pool on the first day at sea :) hoping it won't be too cool!

Have not been on since Christmas, when it was about 55* the day we left NY. No matter what the temps, you can still sit by the pool on the first sea day. The midship Lido pool is heated, and covered (indoors).

The covered Lido pool is the best. Loved it.

 

We could sit outside comfortably by the middle of the second day (this was end of January). That night you could really feel the warm air coming. The third day was definitely fine for tanning and swimming outside.

Was it possible to use the pool the first (embarkation) day? My daughters love the pool and always want to go in right away. Just wondering if that will be possible. We leave on 2/17. Thanks!

You can use the Lido pool before the ship leaves NY. Hot tubs, too. Just be sure to be dry and changed for the muster drill or you will freeze! It is very warm by the Lido pool.

By the first morning after departure, your going to be off the coast of Virginia (about 14 hours into the cruise), By the second morning, you will be off the coast of Florida (about 38 hours). The ship's average speed is 20 Knotts (23 Miles per hour); as far as what the tempature will be depends on the weather patterns passing through the Atlantic coast at the time. The ideal is a High Pressure system east of the ships position.
