cayman island jewlery question

i was in the cayman islands about 3 years ago and saw a beautiful stone/gem there i havent ever seen before. wishing i had bought one......i am headed to usvi this summer and wondering if it is sold there too. i dont remember the name. my husband thinks it was millinite? or something like that. had all kinds of color to it...does anyone know what im talking about and if it is sold in st thomas or st martin?

I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but it might be ammolite. It was sold in Cozumel. It is formed from a fossilized shell and contains a rainbow of colors. Hope this helps. :)

Its sold in all the ports you will find a very good selection anywhere in the caribbean.
