Lap Top Use on Deck??

Has anyone out there tried to use a Lap Top from deck while in port? Can you pick up a signal from the islands & maybe save $$ on Ship Internet Fees? Thx for any advice:)

Let's break down exactly what you're looking for. You want:

1. free wireless internet

2. broadcast from a pier or at least from a building that's only a few yards from a pier

3. at a Caribbean/Central American destination that's not popular enough to rate its own board

Seems unlikely, don't you think? I'd guess it's so unlikely that you'd have a much better chance of using blackjack winnings to pay for shipboard internet fees. My advice is: Go for it! Gambling's much more intense when you feel you have to win.
