Tender or Pier at Limon ?

You dock in Puerto Limon at a pier. There really isn't alot to do at the pier other than some shops that are at the end of the pier. We ziplined here and had a wonderful time. We used Oscar Brown for our tour guide who took us where we wanted to go. We did the zip line, bananna plantation, toured the city, stopped and got to hold a money and pet a sloth, and to a local restaurant with an incredible view. All of that and our ship was over 1 1/2 hours late getting to the pier.

Oscar will charge you based upon time and distance to what it is you have decided to see. He is very reasonable, and generally will undercut the competition. We did a simple city tour with him and it was $25 per couple. Wonderful time. Had I known at the time that he could have taken us to the pontoon boat trip, I would not have booked it through the ship. Could have saved some money. Was not very impressed with the pontoon boat. It did not go very far up or down the river and although we saw a sloth or two in the trees, a snake on an overhanging branch, and a few shore birds, IMHO this was not worth the money. Boat's engine is quite noisy, its a wonder we saw any wildlife. Best part was the resort from which this trip leaves. Beautiful grounds with amazing flowers and more butterflys in one place than we've ever seen before. Oscar can take you here, I forget the name of the place but Oscar will know of it. It's a short ride out of town and there is a nice gift shop there also.
