hotels in Mazatlan

Anyone know of any hotels in Mazatlan with nice big pools to hang out at without getting the hard sell on time share's? If we buy drinks, do they let you hang out for free?

We did the Carnival excursion that put us at *trying to think of the name*....I believe it was the Playa. We boarded taxis from the ship to the ampitheater to watch the Paplanta Flyers. Free beverages there (beer or soda), then you walk through "The Golden Zone" (shopping) to the hotel. Once there you meet the guides from the excursion in the lobby area. They issue you a towel and give you directions around the hotel. They provide a room for changing (shared with your fellow Carnival passengers....we just used the restrooms). The hotel includes a buffet lunch and 2 beverages (alcohol or non). You have full use of the pools (I believe there are 3) and their beach facilities. My only complaint was the people on the beach selling things. But that is niether the hotel's fault nor Carnivals. We really enjoyed this day.
