Too bad you didn't give a little information about yourself and what interests you so we could make more informed recommendations. Check these sites to get started:

from http://www.awoosh.com, this list of non-diving things to do in Cozumel. I recommend numbers 1 and 11.

sorry, I am new to this.

We take a cruise once a year and this is the first on RC. We are in our mid-30s, married for 3 yrs.

Usually, we are the beach type and going to see the local historical stuff

I try to plan ahead and book early

Then I'd suggest that you get the Cozumel map from http://cancunmap.com/, rent a car thru cozumelinsider (definitely get the full coverage insurance), and do a driving tour around the island. Stop at a couple of beach clubs then end up in town at the museum. Or you can just take a taxi to one of the West side clubs, I like Playa Palancar, then back to town after lunch for some minigolf then the museum. This is a better choice if you plan on drinking any alcohol as drinking and driving don't mix, especially in Mexico.

Hi there!

I just got back from a RI cruise this week. My friend and I are also thirty-somethings and wanted some precious beach time while in Mexico. We did not book through RI and went solo. Ended up catching a cab and went to Mr. Sancho's beach break for the day. The Playa Mia beach area is right next door and costs 5-10 bucks to get in. Mr. Sancho is free and really amazing. Not too crowded, lots of chairs in the sun and also shade if you need a break. A cheap full bar and buffet if you get hungry (we did not eat there but people said it was good). There was also an infiniti pool, clean bathrooms and changing areas. Our time here was truly the highlight of our entire vacation/cruise. Good luck and have fun!
