silverfoxcruiser Posted February 24, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2007 I saw this mentioned in "More" magazine, and looked at their web site on nextten dot com. It's expensive, but if it works, I think it would be worth it. Has anyone had experience? Please advise. Silver:cool:
stwr cruiser Posted February 24, 2007 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2007 I have one sassybax bra. While I like it it can be a little tight around my shoulders and underarms. I ordered the XL size Bralette and next time I will try the Racerbax bra instead. I am not an overweight person but push the limit for my size sometimes. I do like the bra though. If you are looking for a bra without wires try JC Penney's new Ambrielle line. If your bra fits properly you shouldn't have to worry about VBL's. benolathe Posted February 25, 2007 #4 Share Posted February 25, 2007 Thanks for the info. I'm always looking out for a bra that is comfortable enough to actually WEAR!! I can't stand the things! So, I'd love to hear from someone who has actually wore one of these Sassybax. Looks like I'd have to order online without trying on, and with shipping one bra will be over $70.
karen sharpe Posted February 25, 2007 #5 Share Posted February 25, 2007 Thanks Silver I like the look of the long line bra...and girls in Canada you can actually order it on this site! http://www.barenecessities.com/search.asp?drv=10079&mode=1&cm_mmc=GLSR-_-sassybax-_-Sassybax-_-A&source=GoogleA&term=Sassybax&gcid=S11853x026&keyword=sassybax
phoenix1181 Posted February 25, 2007 #6 Share Posted February 25, 2007 I like the look of them & will pay the price, but how is the sizing? S - 2X means different things to different companies. Can anyone make this a little more clear? What size bra do you wear vs Sassybax?
silverfoxcruiser Posted February 25, 2007 Author #7 Share Posted February 25, 2007 If you go to the nextten dot com site, and click on the bra you're interested in, read all the way down, where there is a schematic explaining the sizing. I did order the posture bra and paid for 2 day shipping, so I'll let you know how it fits when I receive it. There are many on line sites where you can buy these and similar, but not all colors available in all sizes. More to follow....Silver P. S. Thanks for the replies, and DERF5585 -- as always, you're a fountain of information. Kudos!!

Smitty24 Posted February 26, 2007 #9 Share Posted February 26, 2007 I would pay anything for a bra that fits AND does what it's supposed to!
benolathe Posted February 26, 2007 #10 Share Posted February 26, 2007 I would pay anything for a bra that fits AND does what it's supposed to! Yes, I pretty much agree. But, I would love to hear some other 'first hand' opinions before spending that much money to "try it out."
Smitty24 Posted February 26, 2007 #11 Share Posted February 26, 2007 But, I would love to hear some other 'first hand' opinions before spending that much money to "try it out." Yeah, me too. There are stores in my state, but nothing convenient to stop by and try one on.
Farmerlaine Posted February 27, 2007 #12 Share Posted February 27, 2007 I saw some on ebay and they were around the 30-35 dollar range.
Nebr.cruiser Posted February 27, 2007 #13 Share Posted February 27, 2007 I'd like to know how they feel on too. They look like they would feel very tight--I don't do uncomfortable any more! Has anyone worn one?
stwr cruiser Posted February 27, 2007 #14 Share Posted February 27, 2007 I own 1 sassybax bra. Do I like it? I do like it and wear it quite a bit around the house and for some errands. I normally wear a 36D (thanks to the Oprah show) and bought an XL. I ordered mine directly thru their website and ordered a large but returned it for the XL. The reason I did this was because it seemed really tight around my shoulders and underarms. Even the XL feels a little tight. I weight about 152 at my heaviest and 140 at my lightest. If I could try another one I would order the racerback style. While this bra does offer support, I wouldn't call it a bra I would wear anytime other than a "friday" type bra. I can't wear underwire bras anymore cause they just poke and pinch me. Especially on my ribs in the middle. I prefer to wear Victoria's Secret Wireless Ipex bra. JcPenney also offers a new wireless one too that I really like. I also own a bra made by Spanx. It is a nice "Friday" bra too. Hope this helps. muse Posted February 27, 2007 #16 Share Posted February 27, 2007 If you are small breasted, sassybax is not the bra for you. It will smash them down. On the other hand it is relatively comfortable.
JolieMadam Posted February 27, 2007 #17 Share Posted February 27, 2007 Have never worn one of these Sassybax bras but somehow all that extra material is not appealing, especially when you live in the desert in Arizona. Can anyone tell me how this fabric stays in place or does it ride up over the abdomen like my shirts do after I've been sitting.
k.hill Posted February 28, 2007 #18 Share Posted February 28, 2007 Thanks for all the great advice. I might try one of these. Of course...at my age...I believe my "back fat" would still roll a bit, so I'm still perplexed on how to ever wear some of the cool, tight shirt styles.
