familyfun99 Posted February 25, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2007 We will be on a Carnival cruise in April and my two daughters really want to go on a dolphin swim. Carnival's shore excursions for Costa Maya state that you must be 5 years of age and at least 48 inches for their excursion. (Not sure what 5 year old is 4 feet tall??) The web site for dolphinusworld (in another post) on Uvero beach states that there is no age restriction and the height restriction is 43 inches. I'm assuming this is the same place the Carnival tour goes. Does anyone know what the restrictions really are and did they have any issues? My youngest daughter is 5 years old and 44 inches tall - I really don't want her to be disappointed if she's turned away on the day we arrive. familyfun99 Posted May 9, 2007 Author #2 Share Posted May 9, 2007 Now that we've returned from our cruise, and yes the Costa Maya dolphin swim, I thought I would answer my own question in case anyone else was wondering. The height restriction was 43 inches. The shore excursion guide on the ship included this lower height restriction (vs the 4 feet on the shore excursion listing on the Carnival website) so we rebooked the dolphin swim and had a blast! My youngest daughter had no problems, although she could not really touch the bottom of the platform in the water, she is a strong swimmer and had the time of her life.
