vjmatty Posted March 19, 2007 #76 Share Posted March 19, 2007 I don't know about speeding tickets, but I live in northern NY state and have had clients who were Canadian citizens denied re-entry because of a NY DWAI (Driving While Ability Impaired) which is a traffic infraction, NOT even a misdemeanor. Captain Canuck Posted March 19, 2007 #77 Share Posted March 19, 2007 as I have driven in NY state how could they tell if your ability was impaired? here the potholes are so bad the cops think you are drunk the way you have to drive to avoid them
vjmatty Posted March 20, 2007 #78 Share Posted March 20, 2007 LOL Canuck! That is true here too... in fact if you are lucky there will be an orange pylon covering the pothole, but by March the NY DOT runs out of pylons ;) Usually we make up for it by having the Troopers ask all Canadian motorists they pull over if they know about the law against driving barefoot in NY... (there isn't one)
totempole Posted March 20, 2007 #79 Share Posted March 20, 2007 There seems to be some present problems with the no fly list being developed up here. Some people are being denied boarding on aircraft due to being on "the list". It appears people with the same name are having the troubles and then spending hours trying to prove they are not THAT Fred Flinstone they have on their list!
