Sensation Cabin Questions

Hi Everyone! My in laws are planning a cruise in November and are figuring out cabin selection now. They have been told they can pick between E132, E136, E139 or U140. Can anyone tell me which cabin would be better? A couple of these cabins are under the galley---would that make a difference? Any help or info about selecting a cabin or info on this ship would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much!

I would pick the U140 cabin. They always say not to stay under the galley. I haven't ever stayed in one of those cabins, but have heard complaints. The Upper Deck is a great deck! I have NO complaints!

Any of the cabins on the Empress deck would be great.

On our two cruises on the Sensation, we stayed all the way forward in E-12 and then midship, behind the Purser's Desk in E-119....

Never had any noise problems in either cabin.

The Empress deck is great for being one deck below the Fantasia Lounge, and the Dining Rooms and shops..

It is two decks below the Casino and the bars.

It is 3 decks below the Lido Deck with the pools, buffett, etc....

It is also the deck you embark and debark from in Port Canaveral.

(you debark in Freeport and Nassau all the way down on deck 3.)

If it looks like one cabin MAY be directly below the galley, then just choose one of the other two Empress cabins...

Holly:

Since all three of the Empress cabins you mentioned are directly below a part of the galley, I'd add my vote for the Upper deck cabin. I've stayed on Empress a few times, in a cabin directly below the aft dining room (which is only used for the evening meal), so wasn't bothered by any extra noises. But the galley will be in use throughout the day (and early mornings) so that's why I'd suggest the Upper deck for the in-laws. Have a great cruise - Bon Voyage!!
