Corner Exit Posted March 5, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 5, 2007 Our round trip to Alaska out of Seattle makes a last night stop in Victoria. Arrives Friday 7pm, departs 11pm. We are having trouble getting excited about getting off the ship for 2-3 hours? Anything worth doing for this short amount of time, or should we just spend the last night on the ship? We live about 5 hours south of Victoria so we have been there before by land and probably will in the future. Thanks
Luckysll Posted March 5, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2007 Well, the shops on Friday night will be open until 9 pm and, of course, the bars and lounges will be open late. Butchart Gardens is open until 10:30 pm, but it would be hard to get there and back and have enough time to enjoy the gardens. If it's a nice night, you might want to taxi to the Inner Harbour and just walk around for an hour or so.
LeftcoastBC Posted March 5, 2007 #3 Share Posted March 5, 2007 I'm pretty sure that Butchart Gardens will be available to you on a tour from the ship inside your stop window. The gardens are very beautiful at night. Downtown around the Harbour and Legislature buildings/Empress Hotel also is lit up very senic and easy to get around.
