This is going to be my first cruise ever in may on her....Is she in really bad need for drydock?? Does she like old and dirty?? How are the cabins and everthing else.....???

 

Just want to know if i going to hate cruise b/c she dirty or something.....am i going to enjoy her??

Don't worry - you're going to have a great time. She won't be dirty or anything like that - the crew works very hard to maintain her. They are "upgrading" the ship with the new Evolutions of Fun - adding a lot of new features to her.

The ship is well maintained. Some carpets may have stains or be a little worn. A ship has to go into drydock every three years or so to have it major systems reworked. Piping cleaned, valves rebuilt, motors redone.

:) Just got off today and we had a wonderful time. The ship is in very good shape and looked very good to me. I do not think that you will be disappointed.:) This was my first trip on her and I had the same concerns prior to my trip.

I was reading another thread and had a question that I thought would be appropriate here... What are the main colors in the atrium? I thought gray or silver and blue, but the other thread mentioned purple and a pink color... which is correct?

Silver/blue/grey in the daytime. At night the neon lights gives it more of a bluish/purple.

jetskier......how far is Lafayette from N.O.? We will probably stay about 2 hours out the night before our cruise, and then drive directly to the port.

$3 the first night only and $5 after that. Let it Ride, 3 Card, Blackjack, Roullete, Craps, Fun 21 are a couple that I remember.

Hey Lafayette, We are in Lake Charles. How was the Fantasy?? Going on our first cruise in Sept. right before she dry docks. How was Progesso and Cozumel?? Thanks for any info. :cool:

Thanks for the info everyone. We could only see blackjack, roulette and 3 card on the virtual tour of the boat. So happy to know it is only 5 and Let it ride is there. Have a good Monday everyone.;)

Thanks Dave, I went to see the Imagination deck plans and it looks like the outdoor areas of Lido aft is intact (I too am a lover of that area!) and the Waterworks will be above this.

Sad to think we will not see the smiley face kiddee pool anymore, loved watching them from above LOL, the little kiddees (and the big kiddees:eek:)! But this area is the new Serenity area and looks beautiful on the other ships virtual tours!

We know whatever they do it will be an enhancement to an already wonderful ship!!! Can't wait to finish booking the Bayou group tour in Feb 09, and thinking of booking something on her in May this year so I can see her once more before drydock!!!

When will we know who the new CD will be does anyone know?

Or watching the waves in the kiddie pool become a vortex and watching them try to stand up. They have a CC Group cruise going out on her in May you might want to look at.

 

No idea on the Cruise Director.

Seriously, it is when you have a price drop in your cruise fare. Instead of refunding the money back to you, they credit it to your onboard account. (with the hopes you will spend more)

 

The other way is when you book your cruise and it is an enticement to book by some agencies. The credit gets added to your booking.

We got a $40 OBC from our TA for points we earned for our group booking. I am sure it is more detailed than that but she briefed me on it, lol... But that is how we got ours. Dont know what I will buy but I dont plan on spending more than that credit, lol... Our tips and drinks are all paid for so hopefully that $40 will go a LLLLOOONNNGGG ways :rolleyes:

Another question that has probably already been asked but I missed it. How formal is the dining room on the fantasy??? My partner and I would LOVE to eat some lobster but not sure how fancy we need to dress. Neither of us really like to wear dresses but I will put one on, she won't.:rolleyes: Also have the 14yo son and not sure how dressy to make him be or is the Club 02 open during dining hours? Thanks for any assistance with this.
