Editor Posted March 5, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 5, 2007 We'll be on the Diamond March 31. Can anyone tell me what the tipping procedures are? Thanks!
sept10dsm Posted March 5, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2007 Princess will add $10.00 per day per person. If you use room service, this tip is not included in the $10.00. Also, any bar bill/soda card will have an automatic 15% tip added.
Pam in CA Posted March 5, 2007 #3 Share Posted March 5, 2007 If you have received excellent or above expectations service from your cabin steward or dining waiter(s), there are envelopes at the Pursar's Desk so that you can tip some extra. If you remove the auto-tip of $10/day/pp (and you can by going to the Pursar's Desk), be aware that if you tip individually, they MUST turn that tip into the pool and they do not get what you've tipped. The auto-tip includes your cabin steward, all of the waitstaff, including those in the buffet and specialty restaurants, the Maitre D, the head waiters, etc. It's very inclusive. As has been said, 15% is automatically added to any drink (soda or liquor) ordered. You can take a cruise and not tip anything extra other than what's mentioned above.
