ESR24 Posted March 6, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 6, 2007 I've gone back and re-read reviews of both tours. Has anyone been on both tours and can let me know the differences? It was said that there are definite differences between the two tours....what are they?! Safety? Location? Views? We'll be in Roatan in April and are definitely doing one of these! milvos Posted March 7, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 7, 2007 I think the decision on which canopy tour you decide on should depend a little on what else you want to do on the island that day. Jungle Canopy is out East and is best combined with maybe a visit to the Iguana Farm. While South Shore is out West and is best combined with maybe a visit to the West End, Half Moon Bay or West Bay Beach. We offer an canopy and island tour combo at: http://www.roatanshoreexcursions.com/tours.html Happy to answer any more questions for you. ESR24 Posted March 7, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted March 7, 2007 So other than location are there any other differences?
milvos Posted March 7, 2007 #4 Share Posted March 7, 2007 South Shore Canopy tour consists of 16 platforms and 13 suspension cables. Jungle Canopy has 20 stops including 13 ziplines and 6 bridges. From what I have seen I think the South Shore offers better views as it heads directly towards the sea. JXOPF Posted March 8, 2007 #6 Share Posted March 8, 2007 What is the cost to zipline at South Shore without transportation?
Crazy4Travel Posted March 9, 2007 #7 Share Posted March 9, 2007 All zip-lines cost $45 dollars without transportation included. My understanding is that South Shore is an exception to this rule and only runs $35.
