Tigger007 Posted August 1, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 1, 2004 We are a party of 8 and will need transportation from Ft. Lauderdale airport to Miami Port. Any one know the best way? We will get to Ft. Lauderdale at noon but the ship does not leave until 8 pm so we have time to kill too. Anyone know at what time the ship starts to board? Thanks:D
cruise pup Posted August 1, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 1, 2004 Obviously with a party of 8 you don't want to book a per person arrangement such as the NCL transfer for a shuttle. You're probably better off booking your own vehicle. A good place to start is to see if the Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport website (I believe there is one) has a transportation section which may list companies for hiring tranport. As for boarding time, if the ship arrives in the early morning, as most do, boarding time usually begins somewhere around noon, maybe a little earlier. Obviously, since the Spirit hasn't done Miami cruises yet, I'm just guessing. I go on Spirit in 6 weeks. If you haven't seen the photos at http://www.shipcafe.net you should take a look. It looks wonderful.
ozzy 4345 Posted August 1, 2004 #3 Share Posted August 1, 2004 Try Topshuttle, price is for the van..not per person. We've used them in the past and are scheduled to use them again in January. Great rates. FLL to Port of Miami for 8-10 people $85 plus gratuity. http://topshuttle.com/rates.php
kfleming Posted August 1, 2004 #4 Share Posted August 1, 2004 We're a party of 7 and getting a limo. We are using afamilylimo.com and the price is $85 plus tip. It wouldn't be much when you split it 8 ways. It'll be fun for all you mom's to ride in style!
