help with room choice on Grand

Hi there. We are wondering if we should switch rooms. We currently have 614 (midship) on Baja. For $40 more a person we can switch to 715 (aft) on Caribe.

 

We have two sea days planned. I'm not sure if we will spend a lot of time in the cabin or not. Is there quite a bit of difference between the two rooms? Would you really notice a difference in the room size and balcony size?

You'd definitely notice the difference in balcony size between a Baja deck cabin and an aft balcony. Personally, I'd think the $40 well spent to make the change.

No difference in the cabin but you'll absolutely notice the difference in the balcony! We had that exact cabin in December on the first leg of our b2b. You'll love it!

While it seems that most people do prefer Caribe for the larger balcony, keep in mind that it is partially uncovered. I personally prefer the smaller, completely covered balcony. (Don't want anyone looking down on me in my jammies:D. No difference in cabin size though.

Thanks for all of the comments. We ended up with C735 which is at the very back of the ship. What do you think? Will we be happy?

We really like that Caribe Deck location - close to elevators for easy access to Horizon Court. Enjoy!
