jrdjrnola Posted March 9, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2007 We're currently booked for Alaska cruise on Summit in a 2B cabin. We have the opportunity to save $660 by taking a Category X cabin which guarantees us a veranda cabin in 2C or better. What is everyone's experience? Do you always get 2C? Do you get upgrades often? Anything I should be leary of? Thanks. John
usha Posted March 9, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 9, 2007 We booked a balcony guarantee on Constellation last year, and got a nice 2B. It's definitely worth the $600 savings, unless you have your heart set on a particular cabin.
chessbriar Posted March 9, 2007 #3 Share Posted March 9, 2007 We took the GTY on Millie and ended up in a CC. You never know where you might end up, but saving $660 could buy you a nive excursion or a lot of martinis. I'd do it. It's hard to go wrong. Even a 2C will be a nice cabin. It's the same cabin as a 2B, just a different location.
