How much walking on the Elation?

Hi! Here's my situation:

I have VERY bad knees and as a result can't do going up and down stairs or walking a lot. I have room R45 on the Elation and it is next to the elevators but now I'm wondering if maybe I should try for a room midship (if one opens up, I sail in 2 weeks) http://www.carnival.com/Deck_Plan.aspx?shipCode=EL

1. Will having a room midship save me from walking more or should I stay were I am?

2. How do the elevators work on the Elation, are there any that go all the way up and down or do we have to go up to a certain deck and then walk to the other elevators?

3. How far up do the elevators I'm next to go?

TIA! :)

HELLO,,,,,,,,

Can you borrow a scooter to take with you???

Being close to an elevator is a goooood thing............

There is alot of walking............

There are places you can sit down and rest..............

I have never been on the Elation,I have been on the Fantasy.......

Until you learn the ship, there is alot of walking.........

After you learn the ship, you learn short cuts,,,,ECT::::::::

HAVE A GREAT CRUISE...............

A scooter won't help as my knees tend to pop out so that may be even worse .

But you are right abour sitting down and resting, it didn't even cross my mind but it's true. I can sit down, have a foo-foo drink :D and then keep walking. Thanks!
