FEB - MARCH Atlantic Departure Question

I'm with a group from the South that would like to take a Southern Caribbean cruise out of either Cape Liberty or NYC in late February of '08. I've read that the waters leaving port can be extremely rough during this time period and that people also get seasick on the way back. If you've taken this cruise in February, would you please let us know about the seas the first 2 days out of New York and also the 2 days back into port. Thanks!

Weather in the Atlantic in this time frame can be pretty unpredictable. I had some friends who left out of the area last year during this time. They did complain about high winds, choppy waters, etc. If you have people who are prone to motion sickness you may want to reconsider. Otherwise, get some patches for them and plan on spending some time inside.
