wanderingjew Posted August 1, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 1, 2004 Do they have a free laundrey like QE2?
Liz 130 Posted August 2, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 2, 2004 Yes - the QM2 has a laundry room on most cabin floors - the machines are free and there was even detergent available without charge. Irons and ironing boards are also in this room. Hope this helps! Liz
CruiseShelly Posted August 2, 2004 #3 Share Posted August 2, 2004 Laundry Rooms open at 9;30AM so get their EARLY as many people want to do a quick load of laundry. It was very handy and convenient.

QM2 laundrettes open at 7:30AM, not 9:30AM and yes, you do need to get there early. They get very busy during the last few days of a cruise or crossing. PapaHay Posted November 11, 2005 #7 Share Posted November 11, 2005 We've had some bad experiences with ship's laundrys. We can cut way back on our packing with one simple trip to the laundromat.

Good idea but the laundrys on QM2 are good. Go for the higher decks and you go early 0900 (?) and you shouldn't have too much trouble with having to wait. lannp Posted November 13, 2005 #9 Share Posted November 13, 2005 The laundry room will be busy the day of the first formal night. A lot of folks were there pressing their fancy duds. The washers and dryers were very busy the last two days of the crossing so folks going overland would be ready to set off with clean clothes. There's a pail of soap, which is usually kept filled. If empty, call down to the purser's office. Take a couple of fabric softener sheets with you for the dryer. They also make the suitcase smell nice.
