kathy7558 Posted August 2, 2004 #3 Share Posted August 2, 2004 We were in St. John and Halifax in June. We did not go on the Moosehead tour in St, John, but heard they did not get samples to drink, and people were disappointed. However, we did go on the Keith's Brewery Tour in Halifax, which is not a tour you arrange through the ship - you can easily walk to their brewery from the ship and they run the tours all day long - every half hour, I think. It was wonderful, entertaining, and I drank two big "free" glasses of lager - one dark and one light. I seem to remember that the total cost for the two of us was under $20 for the tour and the samples. Hope this helps. Enjoy your cruise!
fgresko Posted August 2, 2004 #4 Share Posted August 2, 2004 My wife and I did this tour in June. It was a good deal, They give you a short tour of the area, stop at the reversing rapids, stop at the moosehead store, then tour the brewery. You can not see much at all in the brewery, they show you a short film and you can see through a window the old copper tanks. Thats it. On your way back to town they stop and give you 2 coupons for beer at a local pub. The pub is nice and easy walking distance to the ship.
