nixhacker Posted March 20, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 20, 2007 Found a dive shop that offers diving in the area: http://www.reefrunnerdivers.com/diver.htm According to the site a 2 tank dive is $80 with all equipment. They also do snorkeling and dolphin encounters. The down side is that it is 60 to 75 minutes away from the dock. The shop forwarded my info to a outfit that does transportation This is what he sent me: Round-Trip Crew Transportation pricing schedule is as follows: For 1-5 persons, from the Puerto Limon Pier-Puerto Viejo Reef Runners-Puerto Limon Pier will be $70 per person, including an English-speaking Interactive Autocthonous Guide and complimentary soft drinks. For 6-12 persons, the price is $50 per person with the same benefits. His contact info is: DAVID CARNEGIE General Manager Caribbean Costaricans Tour Operator Puerto Limon, Costa Rica Telefax: (506)798-2203 Cellular: (506)385-1177 http://www.caribbeancostaricans.citymax.com caribbeancostaricans@yahoo.com Both outfits seemed nice enough spoke clear english also. Due to cost and logistics reasons I am leaning to not going diving but I wanted to forward this along incase others are interested. Seemed to be precious little info about this port's scuba options. It is not a dive mecha but I am sure it would be interesting none the less. Thanks Nix
