Dardreamer Posted March 22, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2007 We are sailing on the Jewel this Sat. (can't wait!!!) and would like to know if anyone knows how much it is for internet in the cabin if you bring your laptop and how the service comes in. Thanks for any info. SomeBeach Posted March 22, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 22, 2007 Cyber Cabin is $10 a day. When you think in terms of being on a ship, the service isn't too bad. There are some times when it may be slow but for the most part it works well. And since you aren't paying by the minute, you aren't wasting money in that sense. Be sure to get the cable you need when you first get on the ship as they have only a limited number of them. Enjoy your cruise. The Jewel is a beautiful ship with a great staff and crew. wasup254 Posted March 24, 2007 #3 Share Posted March 24, 2007 Jewel of the Sea have internet in the cabin? Sounds like a good deal as we have been on ships where it is by the minute...thanks
Lightsluvr Posted March 24, 2007 #4 Share Posted March 24, 2007 Jewel was one of the ships with Cyber Cabin...your laptop just needs a dial-up modem. I think the unlimited access fee is $100 for 7 days. We prefer the Wi-Fi which seems to be a little faster than Cyber Cabin (but not much). We don't mind taking our laptop to one of the several hot spots onboard. However, Wi-Fi is like $50 for 150 minutes (less our C & A coupons).
