Phew, what a ride that would be. Typhoon's do not just spring up, you almost have to wonder why the ship was there in the first place? Anybody have any info on this.

i did a search for 'voyager cruise ship in typhoon valencia' and found a blurb that said this:

2005: Mediterranean, February 14, 2005, The cruise ship Grand Voyager encountered Force 11 gale and ferocious waves up to 50 feet high, knocked out electric power, stopped the engine, and the ship was left helplessly adrift

Really horrible weather in the Med is rare in summer.

I don't get seasick, but I think I would have been green and puking (and probably anticipating the end of my life). This is amazing video. I never saw the original thread. Was everybody okay on this cruise???
