Atlantis aquarium questions

Hi, my family and I will be in Nassau for the day on a cruise with RCCL. We were interested in going to the Aquarium in Atlantis but are not sure how to do that. Is there a tour we can book? Do we just get to Atlantis on our own and then book it at the hotel? How much is the aquarium entrance fee? What's digs?!

Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!!

The digs is the Aquarium at Atlantis. I think the price for admission was around 20-25 dollars. In my opinion too much for what we saw. We actually didn't have to pay, we went around 6:30 and there was no one watching the door so one of the employees told us after around 6 no one takes admission so we could walk right through on our own without paying. I don;t know if that is true all the time, but that's the way it worked out that day. I hope this helps:o

Taxi to Atlantis will run you $5-$6 per person each way.

If you go to the information booth at the center of the Casino you can get tickets to the Dig Aqaurium for $29.......

We went in January a little after 6PM and were able to get in for free after the guards had left for the day. (but doing this depends on what time you will be in port)

It was an interesting little aquarium for free....

I would never pay $29 for it though. (and definitely not $29 per family member)

I was recently at the Atlantis and we did not take the tour. It is a bit pricey per person, we did see the group and they seemed to move slowly and saw the exact same things as we saw, only the guide did tell about the building of the Atlantis as they followed. You can visit a gift shop in the Atlantis and read all about the Atlantis being built, or better yet, take the water taxi back to the port, and hopefully you will get Mr.Clarence, HE WAS SUPER -telling everyone all about the Atlantis being built, and what actors/actress have home in the Bahamas, along the waterfront. The ride to Atlantis is around 10 minutes. I do not think the tour that is offered for the Atlantis is worth it at all. Just my 2 pennies worth:)
