Comfort Inn Airport/Cruise Port ????????

Has anyone stayed at the Comfort Inn Airport/Cruise Port South hotel, located at 2520 Stirling Road in Hollywood Florida?

 

They have free shuttle service to Port Everglades so that is why it appealed to us (also a decent price)....

 

Just wanted to know if anyone stayed there, what they thought of it?

 

Or if anyone knows of another good priced hotel.....close to Port Everglades...

I will tell you what I know. This Comfort Inn used to be our favorite pre cruise hotel in Ft Lauderdale. Rooms were decent, shuttle service was excellent and the continental breakfast very good. Then we started reading very bad reports of unsafe rooms and dirty surroundings. Each time I read a review it got worse. Tourists were warned not to stay there. Recently I read very mixed reviews. Some people said it was being renovated and new personnel were added but most still say it is sub standard. Until we get some difinitive answers we will continue to use the Holiday Inn Express on 17th. We like it there and it serves our needs nicely. Hope this helps.

It really is an unsafe area, especially in the evening. I live here in the area. The Sleep inn in Dania is soooooooo much better and the rates are good. Free shuttles to the port and airport.
