Bacelona - cruise arrival a.m. - flight p.m.

Recommended Posts

Hello. We are finishing our cruise in Barcelona, in the early a.m.. Our flight however, doesn't leave until 6 p.m. Is there a way to send our luggage off to the airport, so we can spend a day touring Barcelona unencumbered. Thanks for your thoughts....

Hi,

Will the airline (Air France) allow us to check in our luggage then we can go and 'tour' Barcelona for a bit - our ship is Oceania arriving early am and our flight doesn't leave until 3:45 in the afternoon.

Even if the airline will let you check the luggage that early - and it's doubtful - you probably don't want to waste all that time going to the airport, doing your business and then heading back to the city - then later, back to the airport. That's a lot of to-and-fro!

As the other poster mentioned, most cruiselines offer 1/2 day siteseeing excursions on the day of disembarkation where your luggage travels with you. When the tour is over, they drop you at the airport. It really is the easiest way to go.
