Use of digital camera on Freedom...HELP!

Recommended Posts

Pardon my ignorance but i just dont understand what would cause a memory card to "go bad"? Is it not their purpose to store photos till you decide what to do with them?:)

Just like any piece of electronic equipment they go bad. They get banged around and are sensitive. I've had flash drives go bad and even CD's go bad. I now have back ups of my back ups.

With the price of memory so cheap I just bring more than one card and I also bring my PDA for additional storage.

Another option for storage is to bring a blank CD and find another cruiser who brought their laptop and ask them to burn you a copy.

I just wanted to say thank you to the OP for posting this question. I too, would have liked an option that didn't require me to bring my laptop. I guess the bottom line is that I want to know for sure I'm coming away with pictures and I guess the only person I can rely on for that is ME.

I will check out all of the options available and post when we return home

(4/30) so that others are at least 4/2007 FOS informed.

will take my flash drive just in case I can download them to that too but I'm optimistic that keeping the photos on the cards + putting them on the 60 GB Wolverine will be enough....

I hear you though on the relying on yourself so I'm just prayin' I'm choosing the right path......

I thought about that (asking another person who'd brought theirs) but decided against it because why should they put themselves "out" because I'm too freaked out to bring my own.

I tend to be the one to do for others, not the other way around :-) Like a fish out of water in that regard :-)
