Time difference in ship time and island time

Okay, I've seen this mentioned several times on other threads, and I'm confused. Our boat is docking at Cozumel from 8:00-6:00. It sails out of Mobile (CST), so is that what is considered "ship time?" What time is that in "island time?" Also, is Calica the same time zone as Cozumel or is it going to change too?

I'm pretty sure Cozumel is on CST... :)

Will they still be in October? How confusing!! Guess they don't switch back and forth when we do???

Actually they (Mexico) stuck with original daylight savings time schedule that is part of the confusion. To be safe just stay on ship time, most tour providers know when you are leaving etc... No worries, have a great vacation.:)
