5-day Elation to Mexico - Will it feel like party ship or Weeklong cruise?

I have booked my son and I on the Elation 8/11-8/16 from San Diego to Cabo.

 

Just wondering, do you think it will feel like those 3-day weekend party boats or have the feel of a weeklong cruise? Since it's a shorter cruise, do you think Carnival will skimp on the shows, food, etc?

I don't foresee it as being a party cruise...and I'd be surprised if Carnival "skimped" on food/shows

That will be one of the last weeks before school starts so it won't feel like a party cruise, there may be alot of families and kids on board.

I don't think they will skimp; I thought the 5-day cruises were nice

Oh NO................No party-ship atmosphere, those San Diego crowds are much more well-behaved than us Angelinos...........LOL ;) ;) ;)
