I only remember playing once on the Star, At that time we happened to get a black out card one game $29.00. Never again. They, the ship is making a lot of money on bingo. The pay outs are not very good. My guess on the average cost would be an arm and a leg.....:)

I can't recall specifically, other than to say it can be quite costly. Isn't like your average bingo halls at home. Someone with us one time had almost more than $400 in bingo, said he kept having to play cause he was soooooooo close. Only one more number!

On the Jewel, it was around $40 for 6 cards or around $100 for a computer that had way more games (sorry I can't remember the amount-maybe 70) I was going to get the 6 card package but the Asst CD made such a big deal about saying that no one ever wins on the cards - the winners always are from the computers so I felt like I had to get the computer to have a chance. Keep in mind they only play 4 games, so that's an awful lot of money for a short time of playing BINGO. If I had to do it over again, I wouldn't do it.

I have only been on the Majesty, but I know the bingo runs about the same regardless. The cost goes up every day with new deals offered. The ACD was just using a sell tactic as I have seen many people win on one strip of cards. I prefer the machine, and actually won $2,000 on one a couple of years ago. I have since given up the bingo because the cost is just too ridiculous. I play the free card they give, for one free game, and call it quits. I have more luck on the slots. Good luck to your Mom though.

Bingo on the Dawn is a joke. You can buy a three card packet for $25.00, which isn't bad, but they offer new computer machines for $55.00 plus dollars that play 35 to 50 games at the same time. The player only has to wait for a little light to blink and he knows he is one number away. If he hits, the computer tells him. Where's the fun and what are the odds of winning with three cards? The pay offs are also slim. Good Luck

 I AM SORRY TO INFORM YOU, BUT MOM IS GOING TO LOOSE HER SHIRT! I PLAYED A $100.00 72 CARD HAND LIKE OVER ONE HUNDRED OTHER PEOPLE. THE 4 GAMES PAYOUT WAS APROX. $1000-1500. tHE ONLY ONE HAPPY IN THE BINGO ROOM WAS THE NCL STAFF AS THEY SWIPE YOUR CARD. I STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT YOU SPEND YOUR MONEY ON DRINKS. I APROX. THEIR TAKE AT $8500-9000.00!!

bOY, I WOULD LOVE TO RUN A BINGO GAME ALL DAY LONG LIKE THAT!

That is well known and in the past posters believe there have been positive changes as a result of CC. I believe "we" take credit for the chocolate fondue still being available.

I know at our CC meet and greet, one of the NCL representatives said, "Shoreguy sends his best."

Thanks for all the replies! I will be sure to keep the bingo addict far far away! That is a rediculous amount of money for some bingo. wow.:o :o

Sign her up for the Casino Players card and plant her in front of the slots. At least then she can earn credit towards her onboard account based on her amount of play!

Just off the Dawn's 4/1 sailing. We played Bingo only once; the strip of paper cards was $30 that day and the electronics $55 for I think 72 cards. Everyone that won was on an electronic. I agree with the poster who basically said do the math: the payouts are ridiculous considering what they take in for $. It seems much more fair when everyone plays with the paper cards in my opinion.

For the free cruise giveaway bingo (we didn't play, just watched) the electronics jumped to $100. Ouch.

Also -- and extremely annoying -- the callers allowed young children to go up in between games to tell lame, and in one case, slightly off-color jokes. In a word: torture! I will never play bingo on NCL again.
