RCCL in Dubrovnik

Recommended Posts

there is no such thing as " a free lunch " . Yes RCL does provide a shuttle bus into Dubrovnik but I think it's $8 per person each way .
Dubrovnik is beautiful and can be done quite easy on your own .

Sarah,

What has been your experience with money for Dubrovnik, since they don't do the Euro? I looked up Visa ATMs, and there is supposedly one at the Pile(?) gate. I had figured to get some local funds there as we head into the town. Does that sound right to you?

I see this cruise is your retirement reward . Good for you ,my DH got the opportunity of early retirement in November 2002 and we both are enjoying every minute of it .

RCCL provide a Shuttle bus for $4 per person each way. In Dubrovnik some accept Euros and some accept also dollars. The most do not accept credit cards. As for ATMs there is definately one in the main street inside town

Thanks for the info Sarah. We'll take dollars and Euros into town with us, and try the first ATM we see. If that doesn't work, we'll look for an exchange. I suspect we won't need all that much.

Retirement hasn't been quite what I expected, but for other reasons than not having to work, keep schedules and meet deadlines any more. I certainly don't miss my old 55 mile commute into DC every day.
