Grand late

It's 6pm CDT, and the Grand Princess is still on the webcam. What's going on?? Looks like there are tugs pushing her BACK into her berth. Anyone onboard??

Well, she's gone now. It's beautiful weather down there but maybe flights were delayed from other parts of the country.

Well it is not raining but is a constant 35 to 40 mp hr wind gust

DH and I always often watch Princess webcams for weekend sailings. We noticed that the Grand was late departing Galveston today and figured it was likely due to storm activity in the midwest.

 

While viewing the webcam off & on for more than hour after the Grand set sail, I was reminded of the famous Bette Davis (as Margot Channing) line in "All About Eve":

 

"Fasten your seatbelts; it's going to be a bumpy night."
